DJB Instrument Introducing the QV04 Inline Converter

An extension of the QV range featuring microdot connection on both input and output. The QV range of in-line converters provide charge/voltage conversion when supplied with a standard IEPE supply current in the range of 4 to 20mA. The low impedance line drive maintains signal integrity even over distances of several hundred meters, requiring minimal configuration to interface with vibration analyzers.


The QV/04 offers a solution for all applications.

Its small size and low mass are ideal for compact multi channel solutions, both rugged and flexible offering the most compact solution on the market today.

SI – Kwadraat  SI2-CBB, the CAN Blackbox

SI2-CBB is a CANbus system, which can be used stand-alone, as well as interface-box for the PC or even as any other free programmable control system. The module is based on a Microchip PIC32 MIPS controller, with integrated I/O and network interfaces. Using standard open hardware and software structures a very flexible CAN platform has been created with an unknown number of possibilities.

The open DMBasic software, installed on the PIC32 hardware is a very good base for an user-specific application. The CAN commands are extra Basic statements, which can be used either in a program or as stand-alone instruction. Every virtual CAN-channel (32 in total, everyone supplied with its own FIFO buffer) has the possibility to connect to a specific object using its own timing and connection to I/O. Object scan even be made dependent of each other. Analysis can be done using standard decimal or hexadecimal presentation, but also by using your own specific protocol, which can be a standard one, but also a protocol which has been defined by the user himself. Using an extra hardware circuit, it is possible to do physical measurements on a CANbus system.

Alternative firmware:

People who would like to write their own application in Arduino C can do that using another firmware, based on MPIDE. It is possible to use a comparable CAN-library and also libraries for the other I/O functionality are available.

Based on the built-in CAN firmware everybody can develop his/her own applications. A number of example Basic programs are supplied with the hardware. These can be edited by the user to fit for his/her own application. The script editor is online available.

It can be used to edit existing scripts, but also to develop complete new ones. The physical addition offers a lot more functionality for testing on level 1. By using a PHP script for communication on serial base, a graphical terminal has been developed, which is running in a browser technology. Of course this technology can be used for remote servicing applications.




Guildline 7810 now available!

Guildline Instruments 7810 Wideband Transconductance Amplifier is the latest innovation for High Current, Wide Bandwidth AC Outputs.  The 7810 operates from DC to 1 MHz with very low distortion.  By connecting the output from a stable voltage source, the 7810 is capable of producing outputs up to 100 A over a specified frequency range of DC to 1 MHz.

With a touch sensitive screen, the 7810 provides the capability of calibrating any device requiring a known stable source of AC current up to 100 A, manually or via automation.  The Transconductance Amplifier satisfies AC current measurement requirements at power and frequencies up to 1 MHz.

The 7810 provides up to 100 Amperes output.  This is based on a Guildline designed, and patent protected, AC source.  The output of the 7810 is based on a unique patented multi cell current source array developed at Guildline Instruments.  This output array is extremely stable, with a zero drift of less than 50 ppm/hour at 100 Amperes at 100 kHz.  The 7810 also offers an impressive 7 to 9 V output compliance voltage.

To automate testing and calibration setups, the 7810 Series is controllable via the IEEE‑488.2 bus interface, or USB interface.  Additionally, full manual operation is achieved via the embedded Windows Based Computer.  The 7810 has a touch sensitive screen and display capable of providing input control, output control, overload indication and temporary storage of data from manual operation.

Guildline won a contract with the US Air Force to replace eighty-two (82) Clarke Hess 8100s.  As a result they have designed a new Guildline 7810 Transconductance Amplifier that goes up to 100A with higher voltage compliance and higher frequency support than the Clarke Hess 8100.  This new design also generates materially less heat making it more stable and more reliable than the Clarke Hess 8100.  They are demonstrating a 7810 engineering prototype to the US Air Force soon and will have production models ready in July.  At that time we will commercialize this new product.

Intepro’s New Programmable AC Power Source Includes DC Output Capability

Compact, rack-mounted AFV-P Series features a wide voltage and frequency range plus DC; Includes intuitive touch panel display, simple programming of test sequences, fast slew rate and high peak current.

Intepro Systems, a market leader in power component and power system automated test equipment (ATE), introduces the AFV-P Series of precision, programmable AC/DC power sources. The compact rack-mounted AFV-P Series units are available in four power levels – 600VA, 1250VA and 2500VA (2U) and 5000VA (5U) – and provide clean power with distortion less than 0.3% at 50/60Hz. The AFV-P series delivers output voltage from 0 to 310 VAC and frequency from 40 to 500 Hz (15 to 1000 Hz with the high-frequency option).
