Wireless dataloggers of DTI
 

The possibilities for using the MDMS of DTI are beyond any imagination: from simply measuring and logging voltages, currents and resistances to temperatures, strain gauges, pressure, gyroscope and accelerations; all wireless and up to 32 channels synchroniously with 12 bit resolution. Even measurements on human bodies and in cars, bob sleighs and on skates for better sporting results belong to the possibilities of this unique measuring system.

The electronics of the MDMS-GII consist of the following items::  

  • The Micro Data Logger  
    The MDL contains all electronics necessary to collect the signals broadcasted by the sensors and to transmit these signals wireless to the receiving base station. Mechanically the module consist of a printed circuit board with components and a permanently soldered Lithium Polymere battery. On the PCB of the MDL several goldplated contacts are provided to interconnect to the cradle trouble-free.
  • Cradle
    The cradle serves as a mounting aid and as an interconnection between the sensors and the MDL. The cradle contains a printed circuit board with several contact corresponding with the contacts on the MDL. The cradle can be provided in several optional forms in order to add functionalities, like connecting accelerometers.
  • MDL Charging station
    A printed circuit board with a charging circuitry to which 16 cradles can be connected to charge 1 to 16 MDLs simultaneously. The charging status is indicated by a red LED (battery low) and a green LED (battery full) per MDL. The housing will be taken care of by the manufacturer.
  • Base station
    The base station receives all data from the measuring modules. The base station is able to exchange data with multiples of MDLs and is connected to a (portable) PC to collect the data via a USB connection.
  • PC demo application for data-capturing
    This is the software utility to collect the data from the measuring system and stored into a data base.
