Vision XP Portable Data Acquisition System
| The LDS-Nicolet Vision XP
data acquisition system combines the best elements of
DAT/AIT recorders, oscillographs and oscilloscopes in
a new vision of portable data acquisition. Like an
oscillograph, Vision XP has real-time scrolling,
triggered or XY displays. And like a tape recorder, it
has continuous, gap-free data storage over very long
recording times. Vision can save 16 channels of 16-bit
data continuously to a 72 GB hard drive at 100 kS/s
per channel. |
 |
This is unprecedented performance in a portable, inexpensive
package. Plus Vision XP has many features you'd expect in a
more expensive research system, like digital filtering,
real-time measurements and full network access via the
integrated Ethernet or Wireless LAN connection.
Use VisionNet Plus software for remote control of up to 4
synchronized Vision XP units, including shared triggers. Set
up your Vision XP in your lab, then control it from your
desktop in another building, city, or even over the Internet.
Up to 16 Analog Channels
Vision XP's universal amplifiers provide 500 V isolation,
with adapters for thermocouple, shunt, accelerometer and
strain gage inputs. Sixteen-bit digitizers on every channel
assure the highest dynamic range with no crosstalk or
aggregate rate limit. A sound channel records your comments
and 8 digital inputs record status bits, frequency or RPM.
Ultra Long Memory
Vision XP streams data to an internal 72 GB hard disk. With
eight channels at 100 kS/s each, record time reaches an
incredible 12 hours. Or record 16 channels at 100 S/s for over
eight months! The full-disk pretrigger feature always retains
the most recent time history so you can see what conditions
led up to a failure, even hours before the event.
One-Touch Recording and Playback
Acquire data immediately with controls as simple as a
cassette recorder. Use zoom, cursors and the jog/shuttle knob
to view details and make measurements. At the touch of a
button, SEARCH instantly locates events of interest without
the delays of tape winding. Plot to any printer with a
keystroke, including LDS-Nicolet's AR-200 stripchart writer.
Analysis Onboard or on Your PC
In addition to cursor measurements, Vision XP provides over
a dozen common calculations such as RMS, max/min, average and
duty cycle. Calculations can be made while recording or
post-run. Vision XP also includes Wireless LAN and Ethernet
interfaces for direct connection to your network or printers.
LDS-Nicolet's optional PC software provides sophisticated data
analysis, reporting and storage in popular file formats such
as MatLab®, DADiSP™, nCode and SDF.
